I haven’t fought any random battles.
So far, it seems pretty easy. I’m guessing the difficulty won’t pick up until after Chi Bi.
Yeah, I think eventually you’re going to have a problem, because so much of the attack power/defense is based on soldier count, and once you start facing dominating soldier counts I don’t know how you’ll survive. Do you have enough money to keep up on equipment?

Lordyuanshu, do you have a list of the mandatory battles for DOAE2? I only want to fight those battles so I can keep my experiance down. I thought Ji Ling and Yuan Yin were optional, but I went to the end of Yuan Shu’s cave before fighting either, and after fighting just Ji Ling, and Yuan Shu wasn’t there.
Interesting idea. Something I haven’t done definitely…
Well most of the gate/castle battles are forced. If you’re looking to dodge random encounters, use Yan Dun ("Smoke Pot" from DoaE 1) or run.
Other than that….I think you can not fight a few battles…like the fire ambush on Guan Yu’s march (2nd to last gate before he sails back to Ji Zhou)…probably more, I’ll edit this if I remember.

Did you save with F5 or did you save through the game? if you saved through F5, the save file has gotta be somewhere on your comp…

Huo Hu's Adventure started Destiny of an Emperor hackingYeah that is a strange avatar. The other three seem to be replicas of the Romance of the Three Kingdoms 3 avatars. Zhao Yun, not so much, he looks like a little kid.
So what is the MP for? Do you understand the spell names at all? Are they the same (Lian Huo, Ye Huo, Chi Xin, Shui Long, etc) names as the past DoaE’s?
It worked with Gens for me, by the way.

Well, this is about all I know so far…The three brothers meet at a bar at the beginning of the game and then they begin fighting the Yellow Turbans…those are the guys in that picture right? well i didnt get much farther than that although im tempted to play more now that i know that that’s a limit break bar. That game has the same avatars as on Romance of the Three Kingdoms 3, I noticed with Liu Bei Zhang Fei and Guan Yu there…and the same battle music as Final Fantasy 4, I think.
