Some duel bug fixes.
Finally got this feature back that was broken for a long time:
Now smart generals or specified rulers can send out their champion instead of taking the duel themselves.
Also fixed a couple of other issues. One where the wrong general was getting the Haste/Rally “boost” for winning. And the bug since the beginning of the duel tactic where an extra “U” gets written to the screen when a general loses the duel. Changes:

Bummer – my daughter was playing the latest version (3.05) and ran into a bug with the Chang An warp where you couldn’t move south of Chang An (unless you used Chariots). I thought I remembered Lady Cao Zhang mentioning that once but forgot about it. Here’s the fix. – will be fixed in 3.06 whenever that happens:

I really never got into the music / sound stuff. Mainly because I play these mods had 1.5 or 2x speed with the sound off. I’m still trying to get over DOAE burn out after redoing my Yuan Shao 3.0 mod. Maybe when I get over my burn out I can look into this more – unless someone else can :)
It’s been a while but I remember there’s an area to the north of chapter 5 (accessible from chapter 5) where you can find Ma Teng. You have to get past Zhang Lu / Hanzhong first.
Did the walkthrough stall out? Bummer…
Yuan Shu mod is impossible because the iron for the swords in Mt. Gang Tai was already open despite me never exploring there. oh well
There’s a way to fix that if you are using FCEUX emulator.
